Royal Thai Aircraft Museum

The Royal Thai Air Force Museum in Bangkok has already some F-5 aircraft, but mostly older F-5A, B and E versions.

Das Museum der Royal Thai Air Force in Bangkok hat schon einige Maschinen des F-5 Types, doch meistes ältere F-5A, B und E Versionen.

The new Northrop F-5T Tigris

On the 19. December 2019, two Northrop F-5T Tigris from Squadron 211 in RTAFB Ubon Ratchathani were deliverd to the RTAF Museum in Bangkok. The two machines were dismantled delivered on several special lorries. A team of mechanics from 21 Wing assembled the planes properly again.

The F-5T Tigris, that were only flown by the 211th Squadron of the Royal Thai Air Force, are F-5E that were modernized by IAI between 1999 and 2004. The planes were then also able to carry the Python (Rafael Armament Development Authority) guided missile.

Am 19. Dezember 2019 wurden zwei Northrop F-5T Tigris von der 211 Staffel in RTAFB Ubon Ratchathani zum Museum der RTAF in Bangkok gebracht. Die beiden Maschinen wurden in demontiertem Zustand mit mehreren Sattelschleppern angeliefert. Ein Mechaniker-team der 21 Wing montierte die Maschinen wieder Fachgerecht.
Die F-5T Tigris, die nur von der 211. Staffel der Royal Thai Air Force geflogen wurden, sind F-5E die zwischen 1999 und 2004 von IAI modernisiert wurden. Die Maschinen waren dann auchin der Lage die Python (Rafael Armament Development Authority) Lenkwaffe mitführen.

Both planes were delivered to the RTAF in December 1980 and were initially used in the 403 Squadron in RTAFB Thakli. From 1995 the machines were used by the 211Squadron.

Beide Maschinen wurden im Dezember 1980 an die RTAF geliefert und waren anfänglich bei der 403 Staffel in RTAFB Thakli im Einsatz. Ab 1995 wurden die Maschinen von der 211 Staffel verwendet.

A few days later both planes are fully assembled, with Air Brakes, Landingeardoors and the Strakes on the Fuselage sides.

Left BKh18B-34/24 "21134" in front of a hanger, right BKh18B-19/24 "21119" in the Exhibitionhall. With all the Covers it is not visible that the F-5T Tighris had no engine.
