The RTAF uses one of the most complex designation systems it at all. The system serves for the identification of all planes of the RTAF. The system was introduced short after the establishment of the Air Force. Only two types of aircraft were not taken into the system, because they were procured before 1919. 1930 a simplified system was introduced, however only the for the designation of the aircraft type, internally the old system resumed and it is still in use today. |
Die RTAF verwendet eines der komplexesten Bezeichnungssysteme das es überhaupt gibt. Das System dient zur Identifikation aller Maschinen der RTAF. Das System wurde kurz nach der Gründung der Luftwaffe eingeführt. Nur zwei Flugzeugtypen wurden nicht in das System aufgenommen, da sie vor 1919 beschafft wurden. 1930 wurde ein vereinfachtes System eingeführt aber nur zur Benennung des Flugzeugtyps verwendet, intern wurde das bisherige System weitergeführt und ist auch noch heute in Benutzung. |

The system consists of a combination of numbers and letters. The first letter calls the plane “Bis” บ airplane and is identical by all planes. The second letter designates the type or mission of the plane. |
Das System setzt sich aus einer Kombination von Zahlen und Buchstaben zusammen. Der erste Buchstabe bezeichnet die Maschine als "Bin" บ Flugzeug und ist bei allen Maschinen identisch. Der zweite Buchstabe benennt den Einsatzzweck der Maschine. Zur Übersicht habe ich untern eine Tabelle mit den Einsatzwecken aufgeführt. Die folgende Zahlen- und Buchstabenkombination benennt den Typ der Maschine. Nach einem Bindestrich folgt die Nummerierung des Loses zu welchem die Maschine gehört. Gefolgt vom Jahr der Indienststellung, nach buddhistischem Kalender (Das Jahr 2014 ist in Thailand 2557)
