The Bell 407 is a four-blade, single-engine, civil utility helicopter; a derivative of the Bell 206L-4 LongRanger. The 407 uses the four-blade, soft-in-plane design rotor with composite hub developed for the United States Army's OH-58D Kiowa Warrior instead of the two-blade, semi-rigid, teetering rotor of the 206L-4.
The 407's fuselage is 18 cm wider, increasing internal cabin space, and includes 35% larger main cabin windows. The more powerful Rolls-Royce/Allison 250-C47 turboshaft allows an increase in Maximum Takeoff Weight and improves performance at hotter temperatures and/or higher altitudes.

  

Der Bell 407 ist ein viermotoriger, einmotoriger Zivilhubschrauber; eine Ableitung des Bell 206L-4 LongRanger. Der 407 verwendet den vierblättrigen, weich-in-plane-Rotor mit Verbundnabe, der für den OH-58D Kiowa Warrior der United States Army entwickelt wurde, anstelle des zweischneidigen, halbstarren, taumelnden Rotors des 206L-4.
Der Rumpf des 407 ist 18 cm breiter, was den Kabineninnenraum vergrößert und 35% größere Kabinenfenster enthält. Die stärkeren Rolls-Royce / Allison 250-C47 Triebwerk ermöglicht eine Erhöhung des maximalen Startgewichts und verbessert die Leistung bei heißeren Temperaturen und / oder höheren Lagen.

2011 erwarb die Kaset die erste Bell 407 mit einem konventionellen Cockpit. 2016 und 17 wurden zwei weitere Maschinen mit modernem Glascockpit beschafft.
