Entwicklung
The AW139 was originally designed and developed jointly by Agusta and Bell Helicopters and marketed as the Agusta-Bell AB139, being redesignated AW139 when Bell withdrew from the project. Since entering service in 2003, the AW139 has become one of AgustaWestland's most influential products; it has been subsequently developed into two enlarged medium-lift helicopters, the military-orientated AW149 and the AW189 for the civil market.
Die AW139 wurde ursprünglich von Agusta und Bell Helicopters gemeinsam entworfen und entwickelt und als Agusta-Bell AB139 vermarktet. Sie wurde als AW139 umbenannt, als Bell sich aus dem Projekt zurückzog. Seit seiner Inbetriebnahme im Jahr 2003 hat sich der AW139 zu einem der einflussreichsten Produkte von AgustaWestland entwickelt. Anschliessend wurden zwei vergrösserte Hubschrauber mit mittlerem Hubschrauber entwickelt, der militärisch orientierte AW149 und der AW189 für den zivilen Markt.

Operational history
Einsatzgeschichte
On 8 October 2012 the
Royal Thai Army two Agusta AW139 two with VIP equipment. The two aircraft were delivered
in December 2013, and January 2014 to Bangkok and put into service.
In 2015, another 8 helicopters were ordered, which were delivered in 2015
and 2016.
The larger type AW149 was ordered in 2017, another 5 who are operated by the
9th Aviation Battalion in Saphan Nak.
2015 wurden weitere 8 Maschinen bestellt die 2015 und 2016 ausgeliefert wurden.
Vom grösseren Typ AW149 wurde 2017 weitere 5 Maschinen bestellt die vom 9th Aviation Battalion in Saphan Nak betrieben werden.
