The Cactus Kitten 2 retained the origional fuselage and engine of the 1920 Cactus Kitten 1, but was fitted with a newly designed set of 6.1 m triplane wings. In this configuration the aircraft was entered in the 1921 Pulitzer Trophy Race. Piloted by Clarence Coombs the aircraft placed second, with an average speed of 274 km/h. At sea level the aircraft had a top speed of 315 km/h.
Die Cactus Kitten 2 behielt den ursprüngliche Rumpf und Motor der 1920 Cactus Kitten 1, wurde aber neu als Dreidecker mit einer Spannweite von 6,1 m ausgerüstet. In dieser Konfiguration nahm das Flugzeug am Pulitzer Trophy Race von 1921 teil. Pilotiert von Clarence Coombs erreichte das Flugzeug den zweiten Platz, mit einer durchschnittlichen Geschwindigkeit von 274 km/h. Auf Meereshöhe hatte das Flugzeug eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 315 km / h.

Built for S.E.J. Cox from Garden City, Texas, USA, the aircraft was sold by Cox to the US Navy for one dollar and used as a trainer by the US Navy team for the 1922 Pulitzer Trophy Race.
