The Hiller OH-23 Raven was a three-place, light observation helicopter based on the Hiller Model 360. In 1947, United Helicopters developed the Model 360, the prototype that would become the basis for the H-23. A year later, on 14 October 1948 the CAA issued a production certificate for the Model 360. The H-23 Raven performed as a utility, observation, and MedEvac helicopter during the Korean war.

Die Hiller-OH-23 Raven war ein dreiplätziger leichter Beobachtungshubschauber der  auf dem Hiller Modell 360 basierte. United Helicopters entwickelte im Jahr 1947 aus dem Modell 360 den Prototyp  für den H-23. Ein Jahr später, am 14. Oktober 1948 erteilte die CAA eine Herstellerbescheinigung für die Modell 360. Die H-23 Raven wurde während des Korea-Krieges als Beobachtungs- und MedEvac Hubschrauber eingesetzt.

Operational history

Einsatzgeschichte

The H-23A had a sloping front windshield. The H-23B was used as a primary helicopter trainer. The Raven had a two-bladed main rotor, a metal two-bladed tail rotor.

Der H-23A hatte eine schräge Frontscheibe. Die H-23B wurde primär als Trainings-Hubschrauber eingesetzt. Die Raven hatte einen Zweiblatt-Hauptrotor, ein Metall Zweiblatt-Heckrotor.
