Piper LBP-
Entwicklung
The LBP-1 was a bomb glider which was to use existing aircraft components and which was to be fitted with a tri-cycle undercarriage and a TV and radar system for guidance, in addition to the 4000 lb bomb. Piper received an order in September 1943 to built 100 LBP-1s in September 1944 but production was cancelled on 8. June 1945 after having been cut back first to 35 and then to 25. The first aircraft was, however, delivered in January 1946 as XLBP-1 with an additional two at a later date.
