1978 wurden acht Bell 212 ASW als Ergänzung der Bell UH-1H erworben. Die als ASW-Maschinen bezeichneten Hubschrauben haben aber keine spezielle ASW Ausrüstung an Bord. Vielmehr werden die Maschinen als Angriffshubschrauber verwendet und oftmals von den Royal Thai Marines verwendet.
Eine Maschine wurde als VIP-Hubschrauber ausgerüstet und auch speziell bemalt.
