The de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter is a single-engined, high-wing, propeller-driven, short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada. It was conceived to be capable of performing the same roles as the earlier and highly successful Beaver, including as a bush plane, but is overall a larger aircraft. Seating in the main cabin expanded from six to 10 or 11. Power was supplied by a 600 hp Pratt & Whitney R-1340 geared radial.

Like the Beaver, the Otter can be fitted with skis or floats. The Otter served as the basis for the very successful Twin Otter, which features two wing-mounted Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 turboprops. A total of 466 Otters were manufactured.

Die de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter ist ein von de Havilland Canada entwickeltes einmotoriges, Propeller-getriebenes Kurzstart- und Landeflugzeug (STOL). Es wurde so konzipiert, dass es die gleichen Aufgaben wie die frühere und sehr erfolgreiche Beaver erfüllen kann, auch als Buschflugzeug, aber insgesamt ist es ein grösseres Flugzeug. Die Sitzplätze in der Hauptkabine wurden von sechs auf 10 oder 11 erweitert. Der Antrieb wurde von einem 600 PS starken Pratt & Whitney R-1340 mit Sternmotor erreicht.
Wie der Beaver kann der Otter mit Skiern oder Schwimmern ausgestattet werden. Der Otter diente als Basis für die sehr erfolgreichen Twin Otter, der über zwei PT6-Turboprops von Pratt & Whitney Canada verfügt. Insgesamt wurden 466 Otter hergestellt.
